Greater Manchester coverage
Manchester is one of our busiest regions outside the Midlands, driven by hospitality density, purpose-built student accommodation and a fast-growing city centre office market.
Deduct Ltd works nationally from a single operating base in Bournville, West Midlands. We do not run a branch network — every engineer, vehicle and piece of cleaning plant is directly employed and dispatched from one location, which is why the same team and the same reporting standard turn up on every visit.
The city's building stock creates two very different jobs. In the Northern Quarter, Ancoats and Deansgate you find grease extract systems threaded through converted mills and listed buildings, often with long horizontal runs, minimal access provision and shared risers between tenants. In Spinningfields, NOMA and the newer Salford Quays developments, systems are modern and well documented, and the work is about maintaining hygiene classification rather than recovering a neglected system.
Student accommodation and university estates add a strong seasonal pattern. Much of our Manchester programme work is scheduled into summer vacation periods when blocks are empty and whole risers can be taken out of service at once.
Full detail on method, verification and reporting is on our commercial ductwork cleaning page.

Manchester questions
What buyers in the region ask us before instructing works.
- Do you have a Manchester depot?
- No. We travel from our single base in Bournville, West Midlands. Manchester is roughly ninety minutes away, which is comfortable for planned programmes.
- Can you work around a live kitchen?
- Yes. Most Manchester kitchen extract work is carried out overnight after close, with the system returned to service before service the next day.
- Can you clean student accommodation over the summer?
- That is when most of it happens. Vacation periods allow whole blocks and risers to be isolated, which is far more efficient than working around occupancy.
- Will I get evidence I can give to my insurer?
- Yes. Every clean is issued with a report containing asset references, pre and post clean photographs, verification results and any limitations declared.
